HIBISCUSFULLERTON is an original illustration by Mathew Humphries depicting a full-bloom Hibiscus flower, created March 23, 2026, inspired by the vibrant hibiscus blooms of Fullerton, California. The composition fills the entire frame with the flower's voluminous petals rendered in dense, radiating linework — every petal alive with directional hatching that catches the RISO ink beautifully. This listing is for the Risograph reproduction print of that illustration.

Printed in a two-color RISO combination of fluorescent pink and deep blue/violet, the result is electric — the flower practically glows off the page. Printmaster technician Jun Ha at RISO Studio Arts achieved exceptional color separation on this edition, making it one of the most vibrant prints in the series.

Risograph printing is a stencil-based duplicating process that produces rich, layered ink tones with a distinctive texture unique to each print. Known for its vibrant ink saturation and slight natural variation between prints, Risograph is beloved in the fine art and zine communities for its warmth and handmade character — no two prints are exactly alike.

  • Size: 5 x 7 inches
  • Medium: Two-color Risograph print on cardstock (fluorescent pink + deep blue/violet)
